Packed with vitamin C and a good source of folacin, potassium and dietary fibre, cabbage is a great side to any of your dishes. With many ways to prepare and cook, summer cabbage is a soft variety that is planted in the last weeks of April and is harvested by the end of June.
TO STORE, cover and refrigerate unwashed for up to two weeks
TO PREPARE, remove any outer wilted leves. Rinse. Cut the head in half lengthwise and remove the core and prepare accordingly.
Great for sauerkraut, coleslaw and cabbage rolls, winter storage cabbage is a great compliment to any meal. The head is more dense and tight in comparison to summer cabbage because the growing process takes much longer. It is kept in our enhanced cold storage facilities to ensure that the quality is maintained throughout the winter months. It is available from November to April of the following year.
