1 Medium Procyk Farms Green Cabbage
1 Large Onion
2-3 Cups E.D. Smith Garden Cocktail
1 Tbsp. Tenderflake Lard
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2 Tbsp. Flour
9 inch Quart Pot (large soup pot)
1. Dice Onion. Cut cabbage into quarters, remove core, cut into smaller pieces, and place into large pot.
2. Add garden cocktail, lard and onions to cabbage and simmer on medium heat for a half hour.
3. In a small frying pan on medium heat, add one tablespoon of olive oil and allow it to heat up for a couple of minutes. Add the 2 tablespoons of flour to the frying pan and mix with the oil allowing it turn lightly golden brown. Once browned, add to cooked cabbage and mix in to thicken.
4. Keep simmering on medium heat for another 35-45 minutes or until cabbage is very soft.
Add salt and pepper to taste and Enjoy!
